PULWAMA — In a notable departure from traditional politics in the region, the Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Party (JKNDP) has firmly positioned itself as a unique political entity: the first regional political party in Jammu and Kashmir’s history to be launched, headquartered, and exclusively operational within a single district.
While established regional players have historically run operations from major urban centers like Srinagar or Jammu, the JKNDP has intentionally bucked the trend. Led by Party President Asif Nabi Dar, the party operates out of its primary base at Washbugh (near the DC Office) in Pulwama, dedicating 100% of its political machinery to the specific local needs of Pulwama District.
Core Focus: The Four Pillars of Pulwama
Rather than expanding across the Union Territory, the JKNDP’s organizational structure, leadership cadre, and outreach programs are explicitly confined to the four assembly constituencies that make up the district:
Pulwama Constituency: The central administrative hub focusing on digital youth engagement and urban civic infrastructure.
Tral Constituency: Prioritizing rural connectivity, grassroots community growth, and civic welfare.

With Vice President Ishtiyaq Ahmad Sheikh spearheading localized public interactions, the party continues to expand its ground cadre.
